2025 RECREATION BASEBALL REGISTRATION
FOR AMERICAN LEAGUE, NATIONAL LEAGUE AND MINOR LEAGUE
TYPICALLY FOR PLAYERS AGE 8 - 12 - May 1, 2012 to April 30 2017
This is a registration for all players aged 8 to 12. Final league makeup, including which age groups will be in each league and how many teams will be in each league, will be based on the number of players registered. Players will be placed on a team in the appropriate league based on the final registration numbers.
MINOR LEAGUE (f/k/a Collegiate League) (Age 8 and 9) The Minor League (which we called the Collegiate League in prior years) is our first semi-competitive recreational baseball league. This league will have a mix of coach pitch and kid pitch and will typically have 8 and 9 year old players. The exact makeup of the league and which ages will play in the Minor League will be determined based on final registration numbers. The focus of the Minor League remains player development and fun, but the league will culminate in playoffs and a champion. This league will also have an all-star game at the end of the season. The league typically plays three times per week, on Monday and Wednesday evenings and Saturday afternoons. The weekday sessions may be games or practices depending on the makeup of the league. Teams are formed based on player evaluations and a "draft", so requests to play on a certain team or with certain players are unlikely to be granted. For any special circumstances please contact the Player Agent at playeragent@ridgebaseballclub.com.
NATIONAL LEAGUE (Age 10 and 11) The National League is a competitive league played on the 46/60 baseball field that will typically have 10 and 11 year old players. The exact makeup of the league and which ages will play in the National League will be determined based on final registration numbers. The National League is a 100% kid pitch league where scores are kept and outs are recorded. The National League strives to continue player and skill development in a more competitive environment, while working to ensure all players are having fun. The league will culminate in playoffs and a champion, and the league will have an all-star game at the end of the season. The National League typically plays three times per week, on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday evenings.
AMERICAN LEAGUE (Age 11 and 12) The American League is RBC's most competitive recreational league and will typically have 11 and 12 year old players. The American League will be played on a larger field with 50' pitching and 70' bases and will be more like "true" baseball, with leading and stealing of all bases permitted. Players in the American League will continue to develop their skills and will be playing against the best players in RBC's program. The league will culminate in playoffs and a champion, and the league will have an all-star game at the end of the season. The American League typically plays three times per week, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings. These sessions may be be games or practices depending on the makeup of the league. Teams are formed based on player evaluations and a "draft", so requests to play on a certain team or with certain players are unlikely to be granted. For any special circumstances please contact the Player Agent at playeragent@ridgebaseballclub.com.
